Description

Grammar pattern : Description

Presents a "What if" scenario.

Has a stronger theoretical feel than the normal "면" alone.

만약 내일 죽는다면, 오늘 무엇을 할거야? If you were to die tomorrow, what would you do today? Low form
내가 만약 로봇이라면, 힘이 셀 텐데... If I were a robot, I would be very strong. Low form
만약에 내가 너라면, 난 안 그럴거야. If I were you, I wouldn't do that. Low form
만약에 그 사람을 우연히 만나면 뭐라고 할거예요? If you bump into him, what would you say? Polite informal form
만약에 못 가면 전화할게. If I can't go there, I'll give you a call. Low form
만약 내일 비오면, 계획은 취소될거에요. If it rains tomorrow, the plan will be canceled. Polite informal form
