  • 그래서 [geu-rae-seo] = So/So that
  • 그렇지만 [geu-reo-chi-man] = But/ However (used to express disappointment)
  • 그런데 [geu-reon-de] = But/ Howerver
  • 그러면 [geu-reo-myeon] = Then/ In this case / If it's so
  • 아니면 [a-ni-myeon] = Or (used to link sentences)
  • 이나 [i-na] = Or (used to link nouns) (used to link descriptive & actions verbs, adverbs)
  • 거나 [geo-na] = whether ... or
  • 때문에 [ttae-mu-ne] = Because of
  • 만약 [man-yak] = If
  • 그래도 [geu-rae-do] = Even If/ However/ Nonetheless

Particles

  • –고 = attached after a verb stem, has the same value as 그리고
  • -도 = attached after a noun or pronoun, express "too", "as well", "also"
  • -아/어/여-서 = attached after a verb stem, has the same value as 그래서
  • -아/어/여-도 = attached after a verb stem, has the same value as 그래도
