You should use Korean or Chinese rooted numbers for their respective roots below. Some times use different words for length and the actual time, make sure you recognize what word to use in what context.

Multiple years

  • 시대 - an epoch, a period in time

Year

  • 년(Chinese)/해(Korean) - year
    • Example, 일년/한해 - one year
  • 작년[장년]/지난해 - last year
  • 올해/본년 - current year
  • 내년/다음해 - next year

Month

  • 달(Korean, length)/가월(Korean, length)/월 (Chinese, month of the year) - month
    • Example, 1달[한달]/1개월[한개월] - one month
  • 1월[일월] - January
  • 2월[이월] - February
  • 3월[삼월] - March
  • 4월[사월] - April
  • 5월[오월] - May
  • 6월[유월] - June
  • 7월[칠월] - July
  • 8월[팔월] - August
  • 9월[구월] - September
  • 10월[시월] - October
  • 11월[십일월] - November
  • 12월[십이월] - December

Week

  • 주(Chinese) - week
    • Example, 1주[일주] - one week
    • 지난주 - last week
    • 이번주 - last week
    • 다음주 - next week

Day

  • 일(Chinese) - day
    • Example, 1일[일일] - one day
  • Number of days have special words associated with them
    • 하루 - one day
    • 이틀 - two days
  • 그저께 - day before yesterday
  • 오제 - yesterday
  • 오늘 - today
  • 내일 - tomorrow
  • 내일모래 - day after tomorrow

Time

  • 시(Korean, hour of the day)/시간(Korean, length) - hour
    • Example, 1시[한시] - one o'clock, 1시간[한시간] - one hour
  • 분(Chinese) - minute
    • Example, 1분[일분] - one minute
  • 초(Chinese) - seconds
    • Example, 1초[일초] - one second

Ranges

  • 부터 - from
  • -까지, -껏 - until
  • -동안 - during

Seasons

  • 가을 - fall/autumn
  • 겨울 - winter
  • 봄 - spring
  • 여름 - summer
