::Yes, you're right.  Almost veryone pronounce it as 짜장면 and 짤리다. But official pronounciation is 자장면 and 잘리다. You'll see that newscaters or announcers are pronouce it as 자장면. And we should pronounce it as 자장면, 잘리다 at formal places such as presentation. So learners need to know both (자장면 and 짜장면, 잘리다 and 짤리다), i think.  --[[User:Jay shin|Jay shin]] 06:26, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

:::Yes. The second one is used. But 만날 sounds awkward because almost everyone pronounce it as 맨날. So if you want to say 'everyday, every single day', just use '매일' instead of '만날' when speaking formal. --[[User:Jay shin|Jay shin]] 15:36, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

자장면, 잘리다 should be pronounced as 자장면, 잘리다. Many people just pronounce as 짜장면, 짤리다 but that's wrong. 자장면and 잘리다 are right. --Jay shin 02:04, 8 October 2009 (UTC)Jay shin

Doesn't everyone almost pronounce it as 짜장면 and 짤리다? I saw an article about the controversy about the spelling of 자장면 where people wanted it spelled 짜장면 like before --Bluesoju 02:22, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
