::Yeah, there are some examples I´ve found on Naver dic such 요리가 다 되었다 (I've finished cooking), 모든 일이 다 잘되었다 (everything turned out well), 도착 시간은 저녁 9시가 되겠습니다 (time of arrival is 9 o'clock), but as you see they have nothing to do with the pattern 게 되다. Yes I think it should be good explain this fact on the definiation just to don´t let people think it just has one meaning, which could get to confussions later. I may add then good explaniation this afternoon when I have more time then. --Alexalde 04:26, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

::되다 has about a billion meanings, i'm not sure the belong on here, rather than just a page for 되다. Also some of those translations on naver dictionary are very general and don't always give an accurate sense of what 되다 really is. Also if you notice 일이 잘되다 does not fit the pattern of "Noun 되다." I think we should make a separate 되다 page since it has so many meanings. --DigitalSoju 04:56, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

I don't think there is a pattern N+게 되다; There's a pattern N+이/가 되다, and there's another one A+게 되다.Jjukumi 10:56, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

You are right, it's a typo. Thanks for catching that --Bluesoju 13:54, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Actually, 되다 doesn't only mean 'to become'. It has a wider connotation. 되다 express sitations not controlled by people.

You're right, but this page focuses on a particular grammar from SNU level 2. Let's expand on the definition then. Any other examples you have in mind? Are you also thinking of the grammar pattern for 게 되다?--DigitalSoju 21:54, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, there are some examples I´ve found on Naver dic such 요리가 다 되었다 (I've finished cooking), 모든 일이 다 잘되었다 (everything turned out well), 도착 시간은 저녁 9시가 되겠습니다 (time of arrival is 9 o'clock), but as you see they have nothing to do with the pattern 게 되다. Yes I think it should be good explain this fact on the definiation just to don´t let people think it just has one meaning, which could get to confussions later. I may add then good explaniation this afternoon when I have more time then. --Alexalde 04:26, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
되다 has about a billion meanings, i'm not sure they belong on here rather than just a page for 되다.
