Description

Verb + (으)ㅂ시다 : This grammar pattern is used formally to express a proposition, suggestion or an order to a group of at least 2 speakers in which the speaker is included as well. This is equivalent to saying "Let's (verb)" in English.

Notes

  • The informal and low form is V + 자

Pattern Case Example
Rule 1: Verb + ㅂ시다 If there is no 받침 or if the adjective/verb stem has ㄹ as a 받침 가다 → 갑시다
Rule 2: Verb + (으)ㅂ시다 If there is a 받침 at the end of the adjective/verb stem 먹다 → 먹읍시다
