| If a ㅈ and ㅎ sounds meet each other, it becomes a single ㅊ sound. The ㅎ (/h/) sound causes the ㅈ to become it's aspirated counterpart the ㅊ sound. Note that when ㅎ also appears in the double 받침 position as a 'hidden' sound, such as in 싫다, that this rule applies as well if conjugated with a ㅈ.
