Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea, this is our third Iyagi time. Hello Seokjin.

Seokjin Jin : Hello. It’s already our third.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea, it’s already our third time.

Seokjin Jin : For Korea people (yea) the number 3 has a lot of meaning I think.

Kyeong-eun Choi : It has a meaning?

Seokjin Jin : Yea.

Kyeong-eun Choi : What kind of meaning?

Seokjin Jin : Um… In one day you eat three meals right?

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea, you eat 3 times.

Seokjin Jin : Yea. And when you do rock, paper, scissors (Yea) it is the best out of three. (Ah… When you do Rock, Paper, Scissors) You do three rounds, and the first person to win out of those three rounds becomes the winner.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea, right. Then Seokjin, 3 is your favorite number?

Seokjin Jin : Yea. I like 3. (Yea) I like 13 to.

Kyeong-eun Choi : 13?

Seokjin Jin : Yea.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Isn’t 13 a bad number?

Seokjin Jin : Yea. In American it is kind of a bad number isn’t it. (Yea) Friday the 13th. (Yea, right) There is that movie isn’t there? Anyway, the player I like, Ji-song Park. His number (yea) is 13, so I really like 13.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ah… Ok… (Yea…) then Seokjin today (Yea) we are going to chat about numbers?

Seokjin Jin : No. Kyeong-eun.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea.

Seokjin Jin : Kyeong-eun.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea.

Seokjin Jin : Kyeong-eun?

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea?

Seokjin Jin : You’re getting stressed now aren’t you? Because I keep calling you, it is causing you stress, isn’t it?

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea. Seokjin. Stop calling me. Why do you call me in such an annoying way?

Seokjin Jin : Today’s topic (Yea) is stress.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ah, today’s topic? Is stress. (Yea) Today’s topic is how get stressed?

Seokjin Jin : No. It is how you can relive stress when you have it. (Ah…) Yea. We’re going to talk about that.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ah, good. (Yea) Seokjin then (Yea) when you get really stressed (yea) do you have a stress relief method only you use?

Seokjin Jin : Well there isn’t just one kind of stress. (Yea) There are various kinds. (Yea) It can be difficult when you have too many things to do. (Yea) There is that kind of stress (Yea) and when you don’t have a girlfriend and are lonely, that stress. (Ah… Yea)Yea. And when you want to see your parents (Ah…) Yea.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Seokjin, (Yea) do you live separately from your parents now?

Seokjin Jin : Of course. (Ah…) When I go to see my parents I have to take a car for 4 hours. (Yea) Yea. There is that kind of longing. (Yea) Yea. There is the stress that comes from that kind of longing. But first (Yea) I will teach you (Yea) how to deal with the stress that comes from to much work. (Ah…)

Kyeong-eun Choi : Is the method for solving stress different, depending on what kind of stress there is?

Seokjin Jin : Of course it is different.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea, Please tell us.

Seokjin Jin : Yea. When you have a lot of work (Yea) You should relieve your stress immediately.

Kyeong-eun Choi : I know that, how do you solve it immediately?

Seokjin Jin : Yea. In Korean right now there are a lot of Karaoke rooms. Singing is really good for you.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ah… Is that so?

Seokjin Jin : Yea. Go to a Karaoke room. (Ok) and get an exciting song (Ah…) yea. Just choose a song where you can shout it out. (For example?) There is a band called No Brain.

Talk To Me In Korean을 들으시는 많은 분들은 한국 노래를 굉장히 좋아하잖아요.
Kyeong-eun Choi : Actually a lot of the people who listen to Talk To Me In Korean really like Korean songs.

Seokjin Jin : Yea I know.

Kyeong-eun Choi : And I also think they will really like Karaoke rooms. (Yea) It will really help to relieve stress if they go to a Karaoke room and sing that kind of song, wont it?

Seokjin Jin : Yea. If for one hour they just shout out a song, (Yea) they will feel a lot better.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Soekjin, by any chance (Yea) are you this kind of person? When you go to a Karaoke room you are one of those wretched people who is the first to grab the mike and then never put in down.

Seokjin Jin : Yea, so I go by myself.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Have you gone to a karaoke room by yourself?

Seokjin Jin : Well I have gone with as few as two people.

Kyeong-eun Choi : So you haven’t gone by yourself?

Seokjin Jin : I still haven’t gone by myself yet.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ah, thank goodness.

Seokjin Jin : But I have done this. At home (Yea) using my computer (Yea) I have put on a song’s background music and (Ah…) wrapped myself up under the blankets and sing.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ah… That seems alright. I. (Yea) I actually can’t sing, so I hate going to Karaoke rooms.

Seokjin Jin : Some time, just once, I want to hear you sing,

Kyeong-eun Choi : Well, I hate that. (Oh my) You sing a song please.

Seokjin Jin : When?

Kyeong-eun Choi : Now.

Seokjin Jin : Now?

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yes.

Seokjin Jin : Oh my. Well in front of girls I have to sing really sweet songs…

Kyeong-eun Choi : Seokjin, if you sing a song now (Yea) I think it will cure a lot of my stress.

Seokjin Jin : Are you mad now? Are you stressed?

Kyeong-eun Choi : These days I’m kind of tired so I’m really stressed. (Ah ok) But actually instead of singing songs (Yea) if I can listen to songs it is really stress relieving. (Oh) When I listen to a song I like, my stress really have found that my stress really just melts away. (Um~) So please sing for me.

Seokjin Jin : “When I’m here treat me well, don't regret when I’m not ♬” (Ah, yea. Then) When I’m here please treat me well.

Kyeong-eun Choi : What is another way to relieve stress?

Seokjin Jin : The second kind of stress. (Yes) Caused by loneliness. (Oh… Caused by loneliness) Because you have no girlfriend. That sort of longing. Normally when you don’t have a girlfriend, (Yea) usually most people phone their female friends, (Yea) or their close friends. (Ah…) Especially late at night.

Kyeong-eun Choi : You can’t do that. (Yea) you’re going to stress out the girls right?

Seokjin Jin : Yea, that wouldn’t be good at all. (Yea) Then there are no other method. You should just sleep. (Ah, really?) Yea, don’t avoid other people (Yea) just sleep for one night (Yea) and the next day you will think this. “Ah, good thing I didn’t call anyone.”

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea. Seokjin. (Yea) don’t phone me, just sleep please.

Seokjin Jin : But when I call there is no one but you…

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ok. And? A different method?

Seokjin Jin : Yea, when you want to see your mom. When you want to see your parents (Yea) try crying.

Kyeong-eun Choi : But in Korea if guys cry (Yea) a lot of people would say that isn’t good. (Yea, you’re right) Tough men never cry.

Seokjin Jin : Yea. Tough men never cry. Especially in places where strangers can see.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ah, at home by yourself (Yea, you cry yourself) you wrap yourself in your blankets (Yea) and cry a lot?

Seokjin Jin : When in the military you cry a lot.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Because you want to see your parents?

Seokjin Jin : Yea. One time I was on the phone (Yea) in front of my parents I couldn’t cry but, (Yea) just after hanging up I cried a bit. A good reason for crying like this is that after you will feel a lot better. (Ah… Is that so?) Yea. You become refreshed and next time you will feel a lot better. (Ah… You’re right) Yea. How about you?

Kyeong-eun Choi : When I am stressed I simply sleep. I sleep a lot. (Yea) And um… Some times I go to eat some tasty food. When I eat really delicious food, it gets rid of a lot of my stress.

Seokjin Jin : So these days you… Yea… Um…

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ah, I gained weight? (Yea, you gain a bit…) I guess I should exercise. (Yea) Because of you I get really stressed. Please don’t say I gained weight.
Seokjin Jin : Yea, I’m sorry.

Kyeong-eun Choi : So I eat tasty food and, usually girls (Yea) gossip with their friends and that relieves stress doesn’t it? (Yea) I’m the same way, I meet my friends and then chat, and also eat tasty food, and after I’m not stressed anymore. And I choose a good book and make an effort to read it. Those sort of things. If I look at them a bit they seem pretty ordinary.

Seokjin Jin : Um… But that sort of ordinary thing isn’t the most effective way is it?

Kyeong-eun Choi : Maybe not. Everyone, if you have your own special method for getting rid of stress, please let us know. Come to TalkToMeInKorean.com and leave us a comment and you’d better tell us a method of getting rid of stress.

Seokjin Jin : Yea, Kyeong-eun. Do you want to try going to a Karaoke in a little bit?

Kyeong-eun Choi : Um… No.

Seokjin Jin : Let’s go.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Buy me something tasty.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Of course I like Chinese noodles but, buy me something else tasty. (Ok.) Next time Seokjin will sing properly for your guys.

진석진 : Talk To Me In Korean에 나올 거예요?

Kyeong-eun Choi : Of Course. Everyone will be looking forward to it.

Seokjin Jin : Ok, I will prepare.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea, then today’s Iyagi… Not now. Seokjin. Ah… I’m getting stressed.

Seokjin Jin : this is the closing… it’s the closing song.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Ah, our good closing music is separate. (Ok) Stop.

Seokjin Jin : Ok.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Yea, thanks for listening. Everyone, you had better talk to us.

Seokjin Jin : Yea. Bye.

Kyeong-eun Choi : Bye.
