If there are pages that sound very close and could be confused with each other, a disambiguation page should be created. It should have a list of the pages the user might be looking for. Also, the {{Disambiguation}} template should be added to the pages.
If you have created a page that is linked to by many pages, you should use the move function. While you are editing a page, click the MOVE tab at the top and type in the new name. That will automatically create a redirect page from the old name to the new one.
