I've studied for a summer semester at ICU (now called KAIST-ICC) in Daejeon. There, I got hooked on the Korean language and culture. These days, I'm taking some Korean classes as a hobby. Unfortunately, at the current pace it will take the best part of eternity to become fluent in Korean. I still enjoy it though.

As for work: I develop some analytics software and websites. I've been quite busy on mapping street crime in Holland, and more recently I'm working with a university friend on some analysis software for financial data.

== Korean word lookup app for Android 2.1 phones ==

I wrote a small app for looking up Korean words on Android phones. It usually takes me quite long to navigate my way through Google Dictionary or Naver using the default browser. This app provides a quicker interface to these sites. For the rest it's just a browser wrapper :-). It's useful for my needs, so I post it here in case someone might have a use for it.

Point your Android browser to:

http://amstelveen.adowi.com/KoreanWordLookup5.apk

To get the app.

(App comes as is and without any warranties. If it breaks your device, I will not be responsible ^^.)

Introduction

Hey there, I'm Kasper from Amsterdam.

I'm planning to do some of the day to day management at KWP the coming time. Contact me if you find any technical or other issues on KWP.

The Korean Wiki Project has been quite a valuable resource for my Korean learning, so I'd like to contribute back a bit.

As for work: I run a small software development house in Amsterdam.

If you're on the Korean Wiki Project, feel free to add me on Facebook or Cyworld.

Progress

I'll try to keep a bit of a log of progress on recent changes.
