Hi there. I was going off this mostly:

However sometimes it's not always good, as some people read it like an English word literally. In general I'm against romanization except for maybe in "Survival Korean." I haven't had much time to update the site, but in about 3 weeks I should finally be free (writing a book at the moment). In all honesty I think it would be better to leave off romanization in the vocabulary part, but instead move it to the surival Korean section for people who might be going to Korea on short notice. For Survival Korean, I think your method of romanization would be better since people tend to read it as English words. What do you think? I'd be interested in your opinion. Thanks again! --DigitalSoju 02:27, 19 June 2011 (PDT)

Hello. I suppose I can use that as a romanization template, although, like you said, most people read it off like the literal English word, which does alter the pronunciation a bit, so if you don't mind, I believe that in the Survival Korean page, I'll try to adjust the Romanization according to what I believe would be easier for an Native English speaker to have a more..."accurate" Korean pronounciation, but will still use the link you gave me as a resource. Okay. For the vocab. parts I'll be sure to remember to take off the romanization and keep that to the Survival Korean pages. I'll be sure to keep in touch. THANKS AGAIN! And good luck with your book!--Dumpling 02:35, 19 June 2011 (PDT)
Yeah i agree. Some words like '넌' would be romanized as 'neon' and a person used to reading English would use probably say it like 니얀. One thing I do recommend is to use G for ㄱ, B for ㅂ,J for ㅈ and D for ㄷ. I think when people use K for ㄱ for example, it starts to sound more like ㅋ. For example 강남 as 'Kangnam' tends to sound like 캉남 because the initial K in English is aspirated just as ㅋ is. I think a lot of the Suvival Korean can be copied from the vocab sections and reorganized with romanization and useful sentences added. Probably have to cut out a lot of unimportant words as well. I'll be happy to jump in and help in a few weeks. Thanks :)--DigitalSoju 17:04, 20 June 2011 (PDT)
Cool beans. I'll keep that in mind once I start doing more additional major edits on the 'Survival Korean' Pages. At the current moment I'm a tad bit busy with Rationalwiki, Wikipedia, and Summer Courses. But I'm usually always online. :D Any help will be appreciated! THANKS!--Dumpling 17:09, 20 June 2011 (PDT)
Do you happen to know how to do a lot of advanced things on a wiki? I'd like to make the hanja section run of a symantic wiki or whatever it's called. --DigitalSoju 01:15, 21 June 2011 (PDT)
I'm not the most advanced when it comes to wiki, since most of things I do involve blocking vandal, re-directing links, citations, and the occasional re-editing pages when blanked, and making pages look--more aesthetically pleasing (OCD-esque) but I do have a couple tricks up my sleeve. I'm not sure by what you mean 'run of a symantic wiki". If you could please explain this?--Dumpling 05:51, 21 June 2011 (PDT)
Maybe I should upgrade your privileges then. Though I got rid of most of the spammers by changing the captcha and using email confirmation, some manage to sneak in. AND OCD-esque editing can be good for wikis :D .. Anyway about semantic wikis:

Do you happen to know how to make bots by chance ?--DigitalSoju 09:03, 21 June 2011 (PDT)
Oh, cool. To sysop? :3 Anyways, yeah. I noticed there were a lot of captchas, so that does weed out a lot of vandals. And yay for OCD-edits. Haha. Anyways, I'll probably look into it for you if you want. It doesn't seem to be too bad.And how to make bots---I actually have very little experience. I tried to make one a while ago, but only finished up to 40% of it. But again, I can try again if you want. --Dumpling 11:30, 21 June 2011 (PDT)

Ok I went ahead and promoted you. The regular capatcha they were bypassing, so I had to change it to a text one and they couldn't bypass it anymore unless they did it manually. I'd like to do some reformating for some of the sections, for example grammar pages. Also thinking of redoing the Hangeul section to do video lessons instead. As for the bots, I just thought they might help with the OCD edits. I think there a few available on mediawiki's site if I'm not mistaken.--DigitalSoju 18:24, 21 June 2011 (PDT)
Thank you. :D I shall do my best! Anyways, do you have an idea as to what kind of format you want for the pages? And the Hangul section would be pretty interesting as video lessons. We'd just have to be able to format them all onto the page, which shouldn't be too hard. Are these videos going to come from the KWP youtube channel or from other source? And yeah, I'll probably look over at mediawiki for some bots if that's any help. If not, I'll just take some free time and see if I can do any. :D
Sorry I forgot to respond. As for the formats, just have to brain storm and see what's missing on certain pages that might be helpful to include (for example on grammar pages). And yes the videos should be on the kwp youtube channel.--DigitalSoju 20:08, 10 July 2011 (PDT)
